A blog mate of mine, Aaron Tan from Syracuse University shares one of the latest knowledge retrieval project by True Knowledge Ltd. It is called True Knowledge.
What is [true knowledge]™?
[true knowledge]™ is a technology that can directly answer questions put to it on any topic. - That is what it claimed on their website.
So, joining Aaron Tan as a one of the beta tester, here I come to apply. By the way, I still trying to get my hand dirty with Google Knol. I hope they read my pondering on this podium and kinda enough to give me an invitation test account. With seconds (two hours), I received the approval and invitation with True Knowledge [Beta]. Before, we started anything, let’s check out the video first.
Now, let’s type “Who is Hazman Aziz?”. If it able to answer. Onz! This is miracle tool.
Here is what it returns the results:
“It sounds like you are talking about something that isn’t yet in the Knowledge Base. My interpretation of your request was that Hazman Aziz is either a new attribute (a quality or property of another thing. e.g. green, big, 30 years old etc.) or a new entity that is capable of deliberate action (such as a person, an animal or an organization).
If this is correct, you can do one of the following:
If this interpretation is completely wrong, you could try adding the thing you are talking about to the Knowledge Base.”

Give me 5 minutes to ponder on the comments that the system made.
I think I belong to “capable of deliberate action” as the system suggested. Let’s click and see what’s happen next. And, the system replied again …
” It sounds like “Hazman Aziz ” may be an entity that is capable of deliberate action that I don’t currently know about. If you want, you can add the entity that is capable of deliberate action called “Hazman Aziz” to the Knowledge Base.”
Cool, if I were to add my name will e in their knowledge based. Anyway, the system do give out other relevant site that has or related to my name.

Okays, one pointer to take note. It is really tough to add a knowledge. I am giving up, as the system is asking too many class help. I am afraid that this is going to be a negative factor of this system. But, when I try to ask “Who is Obama?” or “Where is Singapore?”, it does return a couple of fast information.
On a pondering scheme, this tools could actually use if it is able to be integrated into the library federated search engine. User can as questions such as “What is offshoring?” or “Where can I find this British Standard at XXXX University Library?”
And, this would be interesting.
