Almost more than 1 year, I have been working in the academic library, meeting different kinds of library users. Some of them are in a rush in need of completing their assignments or just chilling out in the cozy sofa of the main library. But, I still pondering where I am a librarian, a netizen or a cyberian.
A couple of project, I have introduced in the library towards an informative library science. Project such as desktop 2.0, analytical tools and feeds all in year 2007. 2007 was a year where I observed the nuts and bolts of an academic library’s work. Noting down the importance of a digital library, especially the usability functions in help a student (or an academic) just to retrieve an information out from the system.
Some users become a close friend, while others just passing through the alley. Maybe, just because I am a librarian by the title, but others think that I am a cyberian. Due to my presents on Facebook. Well, what could I just say or brag further …
2008 will be the year of my positive determination, presenting a couple of project that will bring a new level of library 2.0. Where, this podium will tremble and hear of every speeches and presentation, I will be deliver to promote a new approaches in presenting information to users. This is the podium. And, this is where I will stand as a netizen sharing the youth with my career journey.
