Crest Whitestrip Build Awareness Into Facebook
I saw this morning on Jupiter Research on Crest Whitestrip venturing into Facebook to build awareness for their product. One of the main reasons to create an online presence that would foster positive brand associations and drive purchase intent among ages 18 to 24. (Riley, 2007)
We can see the pattern of marketing have even reach out into Facebook arena. In the near future, we would see more companies like Colgate, Oral B and other dental products starting to market their product into social network site, such as Facebook.
But, my ponders goes to … “Will the Academic Libraries start promoting their services and programmes into social networks?” For a common reason which I know and if I were to based on what Riley’s report …
Youngster have created a number of affilation such as according to schools, society and their interests. Why not libraries? Especially, academies libraries … Isn’t that would bring a new service leve of dimension in the library sector or even as far the education sector.
This is a new area for us to ponder. And, Hazman will keep on pondering … how to keep the competitive advanges for academic libraries to evolve.
