Hazman Aziz’s Nur Kasih Spoof Opening Show

Yes, I am a librarian. But, maybe I am a different types of librarian many of you would think and collaborate with. Nur Kasih is what I am always been seeking in this industry. Nur Kasih is a Malay/Arab word, which means:

Nur = Light & Kasih means Care, Love and Passion.

I tossed this word around my mind for the past few days recaps pass few years what has actually happening to my life, career, studies and even friends around me. Dean Ali shows and shares me with this drama Nur Kasih, which can be access at this url: http://www.tv3.com.my/nurkasih/sinopsis.asp.

Nur Kasih is a local Malaysia production, sharing a story of two brothers, Aidil and Adam, who shares an interesting life towards their growing up period. Adam’s life reminds me of (i) why I headed Australia in 2004, (ii) why I returned back to Singapore in 2006, (iii) why I failed in my life in October 2008, and (iv) why i picked up back myself in February 2009.

The reasons is, “I am a librarian, who works and touches people’s life with my online social activities by creating resources that gives their access to create a social knowledge concierge.”

I have managed to catch up with Sheryl Sandberg’s presentation in New York, via Ustream, live. She is the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook Inc. Before that she served as Vice President of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google. She is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. And, she presented on Facebook: Knowing is Better.

Sheryl has also announced “Brand Lift” the company’s new partnership with Nielsen to measure the effectiveness of various advertising campaigns. Interesting, but why with Nielsen?

Hazman & Facebook

For Barack Obama, whose started his early work as a community organizer inspired him to make national service “a cause of his presidency”. As he put it during the campaign, Obama has usher in a new era of service in America. “I call on all Americans to stand up and do what they can to serve their communities, shape our history, and enrich both their own lives and the lives of others across this country.”

The questions is, “… who is the man behind Obama’s web campaign?”

Chris Hughes helped launch Facebook and the Barack Obama Campaign. He shares the untold story of how he, today only 25 years old, helped create two of the most successful startups in modern history, Facebook and the Barack Obama campaign. Well, what about Hazman Aziz?

Hazman has been on Facebook sphere since 2005, when he was almost completed his reading at the University of Wollongong, Australia. At time, Hazman treated Facebook similar to Friendster. The idea to open his online social network wider and keeping in touch back at home in Singapore. Today, Hazman has more than a 1000 friends on Facebook and a closely up to 200 fans following his work.
