It has been almost about 3 years, I have explored WordPress with Library 2.0. Lately, my library has upgraded to WordPress 2.7. Have the librarians in my library noticed any interesting changes to their blog lately?
Well, I have upgraded to WordPress 2.7 and this version introduces a host new features, particularly in managing of blog postings. One of their favourite enhancements is the “Sticky Post” feature.
It allows any librarians to take any story or stories which they’ve published and place them at the top of their blog without editing the time stamp. This new feature will allow them to take important news or posts that they’re especially proud and display them for all the world to see for as long as they want!
I will giving a short talk on Library 2.0 & WordPress for librarians in my library. Details are as per below:
Date/Day : 31/3/2009, Tuesday
Time: 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm
Venue : Library Instruction Room, LWN Library.
Of course, I don’t want anybody to miss out. I will try to stream this talk out via Ustream.tv and also upload my slides.
The target audience for this lecture will be librarians and those who are in the cultural institutions.
