I am all packed and ready to go for my Indonesia trip. I will be leaving Singapore at 1400hrs to Batam and will be taking a flight to Jakarta and follow by a drive down to Bandung.
What will I be doing there?
Lot’s of traveling, video snapping, meeting the locals, interviewing and finding out new opportunities to cover the stories around the region.
Is there any books that I can read about Indonesia? Yups, you can check out my bookjetty.com’s shelves.
There are a couple of site that offer web 2.0 service for traveling.

To start of this week, I have compiled a couple of YouTube Videos on “Wake Me Up When September Ends” by Green Day to accompany this postings. This is the first posting, since December 25, 2008. 2008 has been a up period for me and towards the end a total down period in my entire life. Illustrating this phase, it is all begin in October, 2008 and end on December, 2008.
Now, January, 2009 till September, 2009 my plans will be on hibernating from at the corner of my own world struggling to stand on my own two feet. Here are the piority list:
complete my master thesis by April
pick up a new language either Arab or German by July
co-ordinate a concert that portray, Singaporean – French youth’s talents with LFCA in June
fully launch Four Mediums Art Gallery and going into the Art Industry by June
scan for a new job by September
As in the library science industry, produce a paper on this topics
with Allan Cho (UBC) : On the library professional between Singapore and Vancouver
a paper on Library supporting Academic Blog using Wordpress MU or Wordpress BuddyPress
a paper on collecting intelligence reports on reference questions
a paper on Library Database Directory Page – A Web 2.0 approaches
And, when September ends, I might said a farewell to the Library industry, as my contract with my library ends. My path journey is not really that bright anymore. All these three years of contributing, there ain’t really a big impact to my library, but to put this library as one of the Asia libraries has embraced Web 2.0. A number of well known librarians, locally and even from the States are aware of the developments in my library. But, my work has the only minimal impart.
The next job that I will be seeking, will be as close as:
Responsibilities:
Finding an exciting regional based opportunity for an Online Marketing Specialist to work within a fast growing, ambitious and highly entrepreneurial international company. Hopefully, this role gives the influence and responsibility for the entire internet presence world-wide. Internet marketing activity sits at the heart of the marketing mix and is due for major investment and expansion in the coming years.
My responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developed Internet Marketing Strategies (e.g. email, banner, search engine optimization, website marketing) and tactical implementation of online strategies including creative brief, copy writing.
Source for channels, websites and countries to build exposure and branding for the Company
Develop and manage advertising or search led content opportunities
social media networking sites (Facebook, Flickr, Myspace, Youtube) to generate leads
Coordinate and work closely with sales, marketing, IT and other internal departments to ensure successful implementation of online marketing
Measure, evaluate and demonstrate Return on Investment through the reporting of performance in all channels; whilst proposing strategic solutions for improving results
Support the analyses of performance data and competitive landscape to maximize campaign optimization
Manage project time lines and budgets
And, when October 2009, I will wake up from my sleep, realising that it has been a year that I left this incident in my life. A dream that I will to build, that never been able to built that trust, honestly and principle is not well established.
