This week my appearance appear again all over the university as the university library banner boy. Along the North Spine walk way, you are able to view this banner below. “Need Research Assistance? Ask Your Subject Librarians”
What does “Need Research Assistance” means?
One of my role in the university is to provide research assistance to the academic community. I have involved and participated in a number of research consultation, giving and provided all the relevant and related source where they able to cite and analyze. Here are some of the research project that I have been consulting:
- Financial Technology – Building the subject collection with NBS ITOM Division
- Knowledge Mobilisation – with SCI Knowledge Cluster Team
- Business Model for Interactive Digital Media - with SCI Knowledge Cluster Team
- e-Tourism
- e-Government
- Building University Portals & e-Learning
- Sales of Mobile Models’ dataset
- Web 2.0 Development
- Library 2.0 in Asia
- and many more …

Frankly, I have been working in the information science industry for only 2 years. But, the professional recognistion that I have received is great. My work even travels as far into United States, a country which I am only dreaming to persue my studies further.
This actually bring to the questions …
“Ask Your Subject Librarians” and what does this mean?
I am a subject librarians for information technology and operations management. Armed with my subject domain, and experiences with web development since I was 17 years old, 10 years later I am a consultant to this subject. Working with big partners like Gartner, Jupiter Research and many more. Well if you need help in your research, do feel free to drop me an email.
