I have decided to release a report on my website. This report might be interested to you as I am revealing (i) how much Hits and (ii) Visits on my website. This report is directly pull out from the server and is not using any 3rd party software installed into the server. Apart from this report, I am also using Google Analytic and StatsCounter.com to track the movements through out my website’s activity. This is important to my work as it justify my efforts in share the knowledge and information that I have seen and awared.

1. The hits start to jump in March 2008. This was just the time, I returned back from VALA Conference 2008 in Melbourne.
2. It was then consistent till September, the hits jump to 111, 415.
3. A total of 817,278 has visited my website and read my webology stories

More than half a million has visited my website. What does this meant to me?

Looking back at my education path, I am not a genious or a smart guy who excel in my studies. I was from the Normal (Academic) path, going through GCE N and O Level in 1996 and 1997. Web technology has interests me a lot and push me ahead to look into the areas of information science industry.  More than half a million visitors have read my website. It does mean a lot to me.

That meant his work in this information science industry is read and view by 817,278 readers. Even if he half of it, to factoring in spiders and bots that crawls into this side. The figure is almost reaching the 500,000 corss line. If that is a returned visits, he would be very happy. And that meant his knowledge is treasured.

After reading this stats and analysing, he is more determined to go in further.

If this …

If this were to convert into monetary values (for example - 1 hits = 10 cents) , just like the leader earnings. 1 citizen per dollar. I would be smiling away with USD817,278 in my bank. And, here what I am going to do … I will only take half of it and the other half I will form an education research funding for information science to grow or sponsor a kid to university. But this was just a mere dream, I will never earn such this figure. I don’t really need so much money to support my life. I prefer to see a kid to go to university using this funding.

BTW, two internet advertising companies had already offered me. I am still factoring them in.
